What is Express Deposit?
Express Deposit gives business customer’s the ability to (1) capture the images and transaction information of checks accepted for payment and (2) deliver this information electronically to the Oconee State Bank over a secure Internet connection. These electronic items can then be delivered to other financial institutions via an approved file format.
How can Express Deposit benefit your business?
There are many benefits to using Express Deposit, including:

- Reduce transportation & processing costs – Fewer, if any, trips to the Bank.
- Improve your cash flow – You can make deposits from your office right up until the extended deposit cutoff time of 6:00 P.M.
How does Express Deposit work?
Using a computer, high-speed Internet connection, and a special scanner, checks are scanned and then submitted for deposit using Internet based technology. Each check scanned for deposit generates an electronic image that is transmitted to Oconee State Bank.
How late can I make a deposit and still get same day credit?
The cutoff time for same day deposits is 6:00 P.M., Monday - Friday. Deposits made over the weekend or on a holiday will be processed on the next business day.
What do I do with the checks after I make a deposit?
The original checks need to be stored in a secure location for no more than 60 days. Since the checks contain customer account information, they must be destroyed after 60 days.
What security controls are provided?
Files are sent via a secure Internet connection (SAL 128 bit/RC4 encryption). Dual control is available when sending files and dollar limits.
